Big Dog!
BigDog uses a system of hyper-responsive hydraulic joints, sensors, accelerometers and gyroscopes to keep it on its four legs. Boston Dynamics says the creature can run at 4 mph, climb slopes up to 35 degrees, walk across a wide range of terrain, and carry 340 pounds.

This robotic device is very clever and quite impressive. And I'm sure it will be worth it's weight in gold, in service. But it's also a tad bit creepy. Personally I don't like the name. Something more original would have suited it better, since this is cutting edge technology.
The first thing that popped into mind was helping move equipment on a different planet or on a moon. Then I begin to wonder how long before they gain sentience and it is humanity that is serving them..!
