My office is never lonely in HR, but yeah as far as like being friends - there are a few who are afraid of me b/c of my position and I don't like that but it is the way it is. You know once you get a management job - those under you are already talking about you on DAY 1. But it can be rewarding at times when those few that you MENTOR or help that GET YOU and those above you that APPRECIATE you. On those days it is highly rewarding. We live in a negative world and any positiveness from either side is rewarding.
